Nature and colour are the driving force behind everything Izi creates. The shifting light of a London sky, blossom in early spring, the bare branches of a winter tree: these are the moments that set each piece in motion.
Often describing himself as “The Colourist”, Izi works with whatever life puts in front of him. Vinyl records, a violin, a mirror, a pair of scissors, poker chips and everyday objects are given a second life on canvas, set against powerful, contrasting colour that refuses to sit quietly.
His work moves freely between the abstract, the industrial, the surreal and the philosophical, inviting you to look twice and find your own meaning in it.
